Causes of Shoulder Pains
Causes and Types: There are various types of causes and following four are the most common causes.
- Impingement Syndrome: As the gap between the upper shoulder and the lower arm of the shoulder narrows, the bones and muscles collide each other to cause inflammation.
- Rotator Cuff Tear: A symptom where a part of a rotator cuff covering the shoulder joint gets torn pieces.
- Calcific Tendinitis: Calcium (lime) buildup on the shoulder tendons or degenerative areas of the ligaments.
- Frozen Shoulder: The inflammation of the pouch surrounding the shoulder joint causing the joint to become stiff and painful.
Characteristics of Shoulder Pain
Depending on the type of shoulder disease, the area or extent of pain varies. As a symptom of myopia, it is one of the slowest areas that heals. Especially in everyday life, because one can not work without using shoulders, it is not easy to treat and it is slow.
The goal of shoulder treatment is to reduce the pain and make the joints move well, that is, the arms are raised well and tilted back and forth. During the visit, the causes and symptoms are identified by a PSW acupuncturist. Depending on the cause and symptom, treatment will include acupuncture, acupressure, and chuna. The acupuncture treatment will make blood circulation of the shoulder smoother. The chuna therapy and the acupressure will be performed in parallel to restore the hard and stiff shoulder by widening the range of motion of the joint.
